The King lives on

Pitched by a stone building by an allt at NN 447 393. About 2km short of where i hoped to be. Deer around, stags barking. No sign of humans since a solitary Ute drove by, spooking some deer that i hadn't seen. Heartbreak Hotel played on radio to reinforce the loneliness. Isotonic drink and a Melton Mowbray pork pie, then bed.

Good luck Duncan. It's a fierce challenge you've set yourself. Five tough Munros with difficult terrain. And the approach you have selected to Beinn Heasgarngh, whilst the normal one, is notoriously awful. Especially after wet weather, which we have just had... Ah well, you can easily miss out a couple if you need to to get to Sgiath Chuil on time. ( Reminder - it's the second cairn ! :o) )

Rock on Duncan! It's all downhill after your first fifty. Or then again, maybe it's uphill.

As I was getting more and more tired on Thursday night, I was knocking more and more Munros out of the route for Friday. When I woke up on Saturday, and could hardly move, I realised I would have to miss them all.
