It's the end of the World

Well, it's the end of the terrestrial run of Heroes on BBC2 tonight (9.30-10.30). I'm not here right now, please leave a comment after the tone...beeeep.

Yes, and at least there was a reasonably satisfactory conclusion. I was afraid it would be left until season 2. There are a few teasers for the next one but things were wrapped up.

How are you going health wise? Though you have been showing some fine photos I miss your walking trips.

I expected Hiro's closing words to translate as "Oh Boy".

Health - dodgy still. Need to get back to see doc, as I'm off my food and not sleeping right. Work's been busy, and when I did look at getting out last weekend, the weather was supposed to have been horrific. At least getting out with the camera gives me something to do out of doors.

TBH, I'd estimate January before I can get a weekend away. But, I'm aiming to spend Easter walking across a country again - I'm tempted to steal someone's TGOC route and just do it.

All the best then.

You're not going to leave it until a couple of months later then and be a "ghost" on the TGOC? ;)

LOL - I've seen that on OM. It feels sad to me, but each to their own.

I work term-time, and my Easter hols are earlier than TGOC. But I did the SUW at Easter 07, as I wanted to see if I could do something major like walk across Scotland. Without reading about people's TGOC exploits, I'd never have thought that a mere mortal like me could do something like that.

I've no idea what impact it has on tourism to Scotland, but I'm sure the Scottish Government/Executive/Parliament (delete as applies this week) fully appreciate every event like that.

Huzzah!

Aye, whatever folk's opinion on the TGOC, it encourages some folk to get off their bums and do it. A few will write about it, some more will read it and think "Hmmm....". We can be a bit rubbish when it comes to promoting this wee country of ours. All IMHO, of course :o)

Oh, and Heroes was great too, was it not?

We seem to want to build over the wild places, but there must be a whole pile of folk who come to Scotland for sports/arts/etc festivals. There must be lots of work coming out of them, and communities being supported.

"The Adventure Show", "Landward" and some of the Gaelic shows are great for publicising these on BBC Scotland, and, of course, "Out of Doors" on Radio Scotland. Many have watch or listen again features on the Web. Useful if you're outside of this wonderful country.

It's good to be Scottish. Heuch!

"Heroes" - Hmm, yes good, but I felt something lacking in the last 2 episodes. Still miles above anything on the box, but I felt that some tricks were being missed.

"I'm about to explode....no, wait....I'm okay" or words to that effect. Loved the series. And Ando lived. He was the real hero. Banzai! Banzai! Banzai!
