Snow day 5

Snow day 5

I think "the day after tomorrow" had wolf packs instead of seagulls. I had doped up on cold medicine for a trek into town to get a wii fit board. None found, but plenty of the accessories for it. Got bag of fresh fruit and fish on way home.

Have you tried Toys R Us for the Wii fit board??? Most peeps forget they sell consoles etc so sometimes you can find there when everywhere else is sold out

I didn't Cathy. Though I did call in there when I was on the search-for-a-wii a few wiiks back. I'm car-less at the moment, as I'm too lazy to move the mass of snow and then skite over the mass of ice to get to the main roads.

I see that Zavvi on Union Street is now closed. At least the trek burnt off a few calories.

I was out driving today and yesterday...Not that bad despite lack of grit...Zavvi closed mid week i think...Well it was on teletext they had closed more and aberdeen was listed...Annoying as i would have gone to see if any bargains or even fittings

Supermarket and all the delights of city centre living (eg drunks, limited parking, rubbish, streams of footie fans) within walking distance.

We're pay and display or residents parking now...It's great we don't get all the college students hogging the street...Am still in the flat i bought nearly 22 years ago

I'd need a clear head before I can think of all the places I've lived (or at least stayed) in that time.

Dreadful weather - can hardly believe it is so bad in the city - if you look at the traffic cams there is nothing south of about Stonehaven. City Council have failed miserably to cope again with the snow.

I've been selective and not shown the photo of the clear main streets...with the snow/ice-covered pavements. That way cars are driving past at 30 (honest, gov'n'r), whilst squishy humans are sliding around a few inches away.

But, hey, I guess they can always close a few more schools to pay for a week of gritting the miles of pavements in the city. Heaven forbid that anyone suggests raising the council tax so we can get a decent set of city services.

Hey, we could always go and steal the sand from Balmedie, seeing as the SNP has decided they aren't of scientific importance any more ;-)

I don't think it's that bad in the city..No more so than usual and not all schools closed in the city either...There was however loads of schools closed in the shire...If the shire council have coped so great then why was the road to westhill a nightmare last week.

Council ain't allowed to raise council tax cos Alex Salmond says so...Ok they are supposed to be compensated for it but the money for that last year was blatently 'stolen' by the SNP...They used money provided by westminster to provide more respite for families with disabled kids...Can't stand alex salmond i could rant about him all year long lol

I'm sure we'll all benefit from the new tram system that us tax-payers are paying for.
