I confess I missed your question about the "pinhole" Duncan, until I was about to send a message of hearty congratulations on your ferris wheel photie, and read through your post again.

Still, I know nothing of photographic terms anyway, so I'll just say what I was going to say in the first place, which was that yon photie would make a fabulous album cover.

(I know I'm showing my age by using the term album, but "CD cover" doesn't have the same effect.)

both mine and my eldest lads canon compacts lock out whatever setting we have them at...As in if flash is switched off then it remains switched off, if iso setting is at say 400 then it stays that way even when switched off and then back on again a few days or even weeks later...Dunno why ixus didn't do that

Spot on, Hendrick.

Just played with camera in flat and switched it to Portrait mode. Love the face it automatically turns on facial recognition for the focusing mode. I turned it to the Teachers TV prog on the telly, and it picked out 5, 6, 7 individual faces. Wowser.

With various things going missing through the post, I've got to defend Caliver here. I get my copies of WI monthly from them and rulebooks.

I've had problems with figure deliveries being lost en route from Old Glory and Renegade too. Heck, even ordering a pocket-knife from eBay turned into an epic.

With all the companies, I found their customer care to be great. Sadly I cannot say the same with the Royal Mail.

Hi sorry to hear about the non delivery of your figures, I came across your story while doing some research into Caliver Books reputation which it has turned out is terrible for theese sort of lost in the post accidents.Here is a link to a page of complaints about exactly the same event
