I did post a comment early on this Duncan but somehow it got lost. However, a question, it is known that Scottish blackface sheep baa in broad Scots (!) Is it ths same with ducks living in Scotland, do they quack in a Scots dialect???? Or is that a mute question. Or does that pertain only to swans?????????
By the by, that anon person was me, Dawn.
Don't know, Dawn. I know that some dogs understand Gaelic.
mmmhhh, just like sheep dogs, some only understand Welsh. Talking of which, have you ever noticed the difference between Welsh sheep and Scots. The Welsh ones have this lovely drawn out tone whereas the Scots ones have more of a soft, lilting tone.Dawn
I think I noticed that when I was down in the Brecons last year, but couldn't swear to it. It may be down to the breed. I know that Japanese sheep sound different to the black-faced ones I'm used to. Well they sounded different in that wee sheep.exe program from a few years back :)
Who was that asking for me? Reveal yourself, min or missus!

btw Aktoman - thanks for making me look so thin!!! Am not really after all the North Wales breakfasts of late... (no, nothing to do with sheep, I was away speaking at Bangor Uni.)
It was Pablo. As to thin-ness, no comment. I know my place.
