WHW day 2.1

The breakfast of kings: syrupy porridge and coffee. And this is roughing it? Cold and damp start to day. Sun not high enough to evaporate moisture yet. No problem inside Akto with all vents open.

Coffee's hitting the spot. A lamb stares at me perplexed from across the burn. Now she's half-hidden in the ferns, but white wool stands out against the autumnal green and browns. If the big blister on my left heel allows me, I will try for Ben Lomond today. I should have worn liner socks yesterday. Doh! Checking the Roclites, and the blister is just below where the ankle padding is. I don't feel guilty about eating 2 dinners last night as they were the heaviest meals, so pack will be lighter today. Cunning. It also means I *must* stop in at one of the recommended chippies to make up for the meal now missing from my pack. Double cunning. Although, maybe this was how the chap on OM put on weight walking the WHW earlier in the year?

Coffee finished, off to pack, then Conic Hill and Balmaha by the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond. Heuch!
