2 years ago today 2 mates and me tabbed it up my first 'serious' hill: Clachnaben (link).
"Is this a Munro?", "no, they are over half that again" comes the answer".
"Does this count as scrambling?", again "no, that is more serious than that".
We didn't go to the summit, it was too windy, snacking on sandwiches between the lower rocks. Afterwards, I had some twinges in my knee coming down, and noticed people using walking poles. FJ, who knows about these things, suggested that I might benefit from one. Imagination fired, and much chatted about, I photoshop up this endispiece to the day.
Did I take the healthy option in heading outdoors? Compare above with this leaner version, described as having "the look of the hunter about him".
