Some of Colin's photos from the same coast-to-coast trek across Harris (3miles/5km in each direction).
My "hurry up an gerramoovon" stance.
Colin took his chunky Canon camera. I left my dSLR behind, too feart to risk it in the dodgy weather.

Brilliant stuff! Yet again I've spotted your update in my RSS feeds, stopped what I was doing and opened up Tracklogs to check out your location and route.
I must have missed a trick or something here though - I take it you are on a tour of islands and must have taken the boat out from Skye the other day. What drew you to this route on Harris?
Not having ventured walking in Scotland for many years - let alone visit the excellent islands - this is all pretty new stuff to me.
Its a great tonic for someone stuck in Royal Berkshire staring out of an 8th floor office window...
I'm quite interested in how you're doing your blogging on the go. Are you still using your K800?
I was wondering what s/w you used with it to update your blog. Ran a couple of searches through the blog and couldn't find many details, that's all.
What drew me to the track? To be brutally honest, it was the only Harris coast-to-coast track on OS Landranger 14, and I'm too tight to go and buy map 18 for the rest of Harris.
I'll go into rant mode that it's a rip-off that OS separate the whole of Lewis and Harris over 4 Landranger maps.
In answer to your 2nd post, Martin, I hope this answers the questions:
http://aktoman.blogspot.com/2007/07/letters-page.html
Martin - it's all photos in the Outer Hebrides, Skye doesn't feature. Just a point of info.
Aktoman - Colin really likes his moody black&white photos doesn't he? It's like Clarkie's one of the old cottage on the path from Corgarff.
Deeside Line by bike - best tonic in ages!! Must get my pix onto my blog!
Can I assume no druggies tried to run you off the road?
No, cos they would prefer the urban environment! See the reply from own blog! ;-)
That'd be here then:

thanks for the plug!
