Stornoway from Goat Island. Tide and sun are out. Cold Norse wind blowing. Sounds of seagulls and traffic rather that raiders going a'viking.

Beautiful pic!
Lucky you getting the weather, it's grey in the grey toun!! :-(
The advantage of live-blogging from a mobile phone! Just back at the croft and already 2 women leaving me messages ;-)
Thank you, PW. Just a snap off my camera-phone, so a bit blurry at that range. My new one will be sooo much better. I hope.
The clouds are moving down from north-east, so are cold, but the rain hasn't hit.
The Met Office isobar chart is very useful. Being on the edge of the UK means I'm taking more of an interest in the weather.
I'm not a woman but I'll leave a message.
Pretty photay. And yes, it's still bucketing down here!
Aha, now then, if the weather is bad all this week, maybe, just maybe, it may be better next week. by the by, any cheap places to rent up there? Dawn
@Mike - just checked weather for weekend hiking. Hmm.
@Dawn - no idea, and not much content in the online version of the Stornoway Gazette
@Blogger - this is the 2nd time I'v posted this, so lets see if this time the comment gets through. And, Darren, don't bother texting me to say "get WordPress".
Hey Dawn, you should've been watching 'A Place By the Sea' on beeb2 this afternoon, there was an English couple looking for a house in the Outer Hebrides. Jings crivvens, crofts are nae cheap!!
D - sun is finally out at bedtime, huh! Off for a bath. Meant to be raining Saturday, Double-huh!
Trouble is Story Quine a lot of folk buy them up as second homes. Me, I would settle for a bothy or even a caravan.
It is raining today, Dawn. And it's a long way from the major shops. And a long way from full health-care.
True Duncan, but it is also a long way from London. Not being a londoner and having a more rural background I would swap.
If you want, I'll send you a copy of some of the pages from the Gazette? Drop me a PM on OBF with an email address and I can mail you the pictures of the pages.
