Last time I was out overnight it was with Mike. I missed having a fire as a focus as we sat outside our tents. The mini-lantern that I normally hang from the clothes-line in the Akto just didn't cut the mustard.
When off ill, I noticed the colours of the film around a lucozade bottle.
It takes the edge off the LED light.
Unlike the different colours of the multi-LED Alpkit head torch, this lantern projects different colours. I'll see if they look 'warm' in the tent on Thursday night.

A TV at home has replaced the fire with its motive-ness being key. I thus propose the following mod: some sort of Hart-Davies motion system (it looks heavy to just be blown by the wind), alternatively take a TV.
A replacement for the tv set would be the iPhone running the BBC's iPlayer.
I crapped out of having a fire when I was up at Derry with The Boy, despite there being no shortage of existing "fire circles". I keep meaning to check with the rangers what the policy is regarding wood-burning stoves. I'll get round to it eventually :o)
Last summer a ranger warned me not to light an open fire. I just don't do it as a matter of course. I've seen too many scorch-marks.
As to policy - no idea.
